All across the country, adult piano lessons are an increasing trend! "Recreational Music Making" provides a stress free way to learn a new skill through a variety of musical styles. You will be a part of a national movement called Recreational Music Making (RMM) that is encouraging adults to bring music back into their lives!
Whether you had piano lessons as a child, or have always wanted to learn to play the piano, you can expect to make
steady progress through weekly piano lessons. Note and rhythm reading, beginning
chords, and ensemble playing provide activities that give a well rounded
introduction to beginning piano.
Adults can expect to make steady progress with 4-5 days of 20-minute practice sessions per week. Adult
students are not required to perform at recitals or competitions.
Adults may take weekly 30- or
45-minute lessons. The curriculum includes Artistry at the Piano, by Jon and Mary Gae George, and Adult Piano Adventures, by
Faber & Faber.
